The “retro” word included in this application’s name is a reference to the functionality you can expect to get from it. You see, you can use XnRetro to give photos a vintage look. Load a photo into the application and then you can make it look old by adding a color effect, a light effect, a vignette, or a frame. When you’re done, you can save the vintage-looking image locally or you can share it with others. You can share images via email, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, and more.

XnRetro is available for desktop machines and for mobile devices. This means you can use the application on a machine powered by Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux. You can also use XnRetro on a mobile device powered by Android or iOS.

The interface is just what you would expect from an image editing tool. The main panel displays the image you loaded. The color, light, and other effects you can use are presented at the bottom. To the right there’s a panel that allows you to adjust the brightness, saturation, noise, and more. And at the top there’s a toolbar with buttons for functions like zoom in/out, rotate, and share.

Using XnRetro is a very simple process. It can be broken down into the following three steps:
Step 1 – load any image you want. Since tons of image formats are supported, you can load just about any image you want.
Step 2 – apply a color effect, light effect, vignette, or frame; adjust the brightness, saturation, noise, and so on. There are lots of effects to choose from and you can easily access said effects.
